Type in codes:
To enable the following cheats, start the game in DOS by typing WC Origin -k (Make sure and type Origin exactly as shown). This will give you unlimited shields and activate this cheat as well as some others (see below): [Alt]+[Del] will destroy the currently targeted ship (friendly or not).
Excluding the "-k" switch will not give you unlimited shields, but [Alt] +
[Del] will still destroy targeted ships.
NOTE: Make sure you have a ship targeted when you do this, or you will blow up your own
ship (talk about friendly fire).
NOTE: Using this cheat makes any kills you get not count towards your kill score.
NOTE: This cheat also works for the addon modules of WC.
Starting the game using either of these cheats gives you access to the
following cheats:

| [Ctrl] + [J] | Autofire Off / Calibrate Joystick. |
| [Ctrl] + [O] | Eject Warning Light and Siren Check. |
| [Ctrl] + [P] | Pauses the game without the "pause" sign showing. |
| [Ctrl] + [V] | Shows you version information. |
To select a mission to begin with, start either WC, or SM1, or SM2 from DOS by typing WC (or SM1 or SM2) Origin s# m?. You must know the internal sieries (system) and mission numbers. The mission codes are numbers in WC, SM1 and SM2.
Example: WC2 Origin s1 m2
This will load the second mission of the first system. Refer to the offical stragegy guide or the game add-ons for sieries and mission numbers.
WARNING!: The auto-saved game in WC may be overwritten if you use the mission select cheat! Make a backup to a manual save-game slot before using!
Summary of command line parameters:
Case and order are critical in the command line parameters.
Command line parameters: WC Origin s# m? w# -k
Parts:
Origin - Enables all of the other cheats.
s# - Selects the specific series (e.g. s8) (used in conjunction with m? and sometimes with
w#).
m? - Selects the specific mission (e.g. md) (this is always a letter) (used in conjunction
with m? and sometimes with w#).
w# - Preview cinematic sequence (e.g. w3), scene numbers range from 1 to 22.
Mission specific scenes require that s# m? also be specified.
-k - Gives you unlimited shields (God Mode!!!)
Example: WC Origin s8 m1 -k
Will start Wing Commander and load System 8, Mission 1 and provide unlimited shields.
Try the missions off the main path also.
